Our journey began in March 2023 when volunteer speaker Elisa Kilbourne shared her poignant story with the J-AAR team. Moved by her message, the company adopted Threads of Life as their charity of choice for the year. Throughout 2023, J-AAR organized various fundraising events, including golf tournaments and staff gatherings, alongside donating a percentage from sales of branded merchandise. Our efforts culminated in a grand gesture this spring, as J-AAR Limited presented Threads of Life with a staggering cheque of $105,495 at their annual meeting. This incredible contribution stands as a testament to J-AAR's unwavering dedication to supporting the families served by Threads of Life. Great job team! The Canadian National Steel Bridge Competition (CNSBC) brings together teams from Canadian universities and international participants, including the Western Engineering Steel Bridge (WESB) team. Each year, teams design and fabricate model steel bridges according to CNSBC regulations. At the competition, sponsored by J-AAR, these bridges are speed-built and subjected to rigorous lateral and vertical load testing to assess their structural integrity and feasibility. J-AAR sponsored WECCA for the 2023-2024 school year, supporting their participation in the competition held in Laval, Quebec. This sponsorship provided WECCA with crucial resources to excel in creating a competitive canoe and succeeding at the event. Through J-AAR's support, WECCA members had the opportunity to showcase their talents and connect with potential career opportunities within the engineering industry.

We were thrilled to have completed our latest project in Stratford, Ontario, which aimed to enhance pedestrian safety in the city. Collaborating closely with the City of Stratford, J-AAR successfully installed three new pedestrian crosswalks at key locations. These crosswalks were designed to improve safety for pedestrians, offering designated areas for crossing busy streets. Equipped with modern safety features such as flashing lights and clear signage, they effectively alerted drivers to the presence of pedestrians. At J-AAR, our commitment to creating safe and accessible spaces for everyone remains unwavering. We take pride in our contribution to this project and are confident in its positive impact on pedestrian safety in Stratford.
